CREATE EARRINGS FOR WOMEN AND MEN WITH OUR HELP
Wearing earrings is a "must" for many women on a daily basis and for an increasing number of men. If you are interested in making your own women's earrings or men's earrings, count on the earring hooks, pendants, and other materials we have in our online store to manufacture them to your liking.
One of these elements is, for example, the earring hook. We all know that earrings require a very delicate metal piece that is inserted into the hole of the earlobe for the earring to hang from it. Here you will find this type of material with different sizes and designs. Choose the one that best suits your creation.
One of the greatest fears of earring wearers is that they will fall off and get lost. This is very frustrating, as even though you keep the other earring, you cannot use it in the absence of its partner.
These losses are often due to the earring hook's curve not being pronounced enough, causing it to easily fall off with movement or when putting on or taking off a garment. To prevent this, earring backs are very useful. These stoppers are round pieces with a hole that secure the hook to the ear, preventing it from sliding through the lobe hole.
If you are a fan of creating your own earrings, here you will find what you need, such as our metal bases for earrings as well as metal earring nuts.
WHAT ARE EARRINGS?
Earrings, also known as studs, hoops, or rings, are a type of body accessory that is worn using a hook that is inserted into a previously opened and properly cured hole in the skin.
Earrings are generally placed on the ears, specifically in the softer lower part known as the lobe. However, nowadays it is common to wear them not only in various parts of the ear but also in other areas of the body such as the nose, eyebrows, lips, tongue, or belly button, among others. These adornments are called 'piercings.'
Humans have been using earrings for millennia. Remains of people from the Bronze Age who wore simple earrings in both the ears and nose have been found.
Earrings with pendants were often depicted in Assyrian reliefs. This type of accessory has been found in tombs of princesses from the Egyptian XII and XIII dynasties and pharaohs of the XX dynasty, among others. Phoenicians, Hebrews, and other Oriental peoples copied these accessories from these two civilizations.
Greeks and Romans also adopted this fashion and improved it, designing richly crafted earrings with gold hoops and pendants of pearls, gems, and metalwork. Their use was reserved for women.
Today, earrings serve purely an aesthetic function. However, in many cultures, they have also been used as a protective amulet. In some societies, for example, they wore earrings to prevent evil spirits from entering the body through the ears.
