FASHION FOR FALL AND FASHION FOR WINTER
Rain becomes more frequent, temperatures drop, and the leaves of trees turn ochre, red, yellow, and orange... Autumn is here and with it a completely different set of clothing and accessories. Do you feel that you need something specific? You can count on our wide range of fall fashion and winter fashion available in our online store.
In this section, we focus almost exclusively on fall hats and winter hats. Although this accessory is often associated with spring and summer, it can also be worn throughout the rest of the year.
Felt hats are the stars during the cold months. This material is very warm, protects the head from the cold, is sometimes waterproof, and is extremely elegant. Here you will mainly find felt fedora hats and felt cloche hats, both in a variety of colors and styles.
Waterproof hats are also a safe bet on these days of common, often unexpected rains. Many of the ones you'll see here are waterproof hats with fleece lining, so your head will stay dry and warm at all times.
As you can see, we lack nothing in terms of hats for fall and winter. With our help, you can make the most of this time of the year.
WHAT IS FELT?
Felt is a non-woven textile material in the form of a sheet which is not made by interlacing warp and weft, but by the agglomeration through steam and pressure of layers of animal hair (usually wool) and/or a similar synthetic material.
Felt is a material highly valued in sewing for its lightness and malleability, which is why it is often used in skirts, jackets, carpets and, of course, hats and Wide-brimmed hats. For this purpose, it is usually mounted on a lining to provide some structure.
Humans began to use felt before woven clothing. It is not known how this discovery came about, although it is speculated that the idea of this material came from prehistoric men observing that animals, rubbing against trees, left matted and tangled hair on them.
In any case, it is known that the first to use this fabric were the nomadic tribes of Central Asia, Russia, and Turkey. Not only did they use it for clothing, but also to build their huts, as felt is very light, insulating, and resistant to water and wind.
WHAT IS A WATERPROOF HAT?
Waterproof hats are those that are made or covered with a material that partially or totally prevents the passage of a fluid through its fibers, in these cases, water.
The permeability of a fabric depends on three factors: the porosity and structure of the material, the degree of viscosity of the fluid and the pressure of the fluid over the fabric. A permeable fabric should be as non-porous as possible, that is, it should lack empty spaces between its fibers that allow the passage of the fluid.
Most waterproof fabrics are made with polyester, a synthetic fabric made from petroleum.
