NAME: The Best Hat and Headpiece Magazines
It doesn't matter what hobby you have. We all want to be informed about the latest developments regarding our passions. Fortunately, today there are a thousand and one ways to learn about thousands of different topics, even the most unsuspected ones. Magazines are one of those means.
Hats and headpieces, as accessories that they are, often appear in the most popular fashion magazines. However, the information they feature is cursory, somewhat superficial, because clothing usually receives more in-depth attention. If you always want to know more about this world, you can opt for specialized magazines.
At Artipistilos, we offer you two of the most important specialty magazines in the world of hats and headpieces, The Hat Magazine and Hatlines. Our catalog includes almost all the issues that both magazines have published from 2018 to the present. Get them all!
But we don't just have magazines in this section. For those who want to know the secrets of the art of millinery, we have several fashion books that will certainly help you become a master.
THE HAT MAGAZINE
The Hat Magazine is a quarterly magazine where you can learn about the latest news in the field, as well as the events and fairs held around the world related to the hat industry.
This magazine welcomes not only journalists onto its pages but also numerous designers who write to share their knowledge on the subject. It's an independent publication that you should not miss if you belong to the industry or are interested in hats.
The Hat Magazine was founded in 1999 by Carole and Nigel Denford, a couple who had been selling hats for 17 years. The idea behind the foundation of this publication was to inform about the global industry updates to hat buyers, retailers, designers, milliners, and enthusiasts alike.
In 2017 they sold the ownership of the publication, but, fortunately, the new owners have continued with it and have even improved it. The new editor-in-chief, Elly Stemerdink, is trained as a tailor, works professionally in millinery, and has even created her own hat brand. The magazine is in good hands!
HATLINES
Hatlines is a magazine published by the Dutch Hat Association (NHV) and sent to its members quarterly. It is a publication made by sector experts for sector experts, so it features high-level informative content and great reliability.
It includes all kinds of content: interviews with designers, entrepreneurs, enthusiasts, or manufacturers; articles that explore the possibilities of the sector, photo reports on the latest novelties or on the hats and headpieces seen at the latest fair, articles offering advice to hobbyists to improve their technique, and much, much more. Although it is a Dutch magazine, it is also available in English.
